Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Roke is committed to providing a fair and encouraging environment to serving and retired service personnel. It provides up to 15 days Reserve Service leave for Reservists and supports individual mobilisation on operations through its Reserve Service policy. With approximately 10% of the workforce either serving or who have retired from the Armed Forces, Roke has its own Veterans Network to assist service leavers land in the business but also to use individual networks to encourage service leavers with the appropriate skills to join the team.
Roke is currently a Gold holder of the Employer Recognition Scheme, having signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2017. The business has a standing commitment to commemorate Armistice Day, encouraging all staff to pause for reflection. This ceremony is hosted by our senior serving or retired service person in the form of a Remembrance Service. Armed Forces Day is also another key date for the diary.
