Royal Mail Group

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Royal Mail Group is committed to supporting the Armed Forces Community and values the contribution Veterans, Reservists and military families continue to make to our business. We are proud of our long heritage and connection with the Armed Forces, which traces back to 1816. We support our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant in several ways;
• Royal Mail Group actively supports the recruitment of Veterans and military families to a wide range of opportunities across the organisation, recognising the many transferable qualities they bring such as leadership, planning, flexibility, reliability and resilience.
• We maintain a close working relationship with Armed Forces organisations including Careers Transition Partnership, Officers Association and British Forces Resettlement Services.
• Our flexible working and special leave policies allow those employees of ours with a reservist commitment to ask for additional time off and we would consider any special circumstances, such as a partner deployment and requirement for an employee to work flexibly.
• We are proud to support a range of Armed Forces friendly events and forums, engaging at various levels to network, identify mutually beneficial commercial opportunities and support recruitment.
