Sheffield Mind

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Sheffield Mind runs the MOD-funded Keeping Families in Mind service, which offers counselling and support groups for adult relatives of serving personnel. We are also commissioned by Public Health England to deliver Suicide Prevention training to the military community. We are an active member of the local Armed Forces Covenant and recently organised a Keeping Families in Mind family fun and information day, attracting 100s of military personnel, veterans and charities from across South Yorkshire.

We have the Defence Employer Recognition Silver award.

About us

Sheffield Mind has been supporting people with mental health needs in Sheffield for over 40 years. Our Wellbeing Centre is based in Sharrow, but our staff work across the city, offering a wide-range of services including support work, counselling and tenancy support. We also deliver peer support services, such as the Springboard Recovery Cafes and our popular Friendly Friday open house.  We also offer training to local companies and organisations on workplace wellbeing and other mental health-related topics.
