Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Within The Protector Group we have a number of service veterans from security officer level up to Director and all levels between.  As part of our recruitment processes we try, wherever possible, to interview ex service personnel and these are conducted by one of our own service veterans to put the interviewee at ease and assist with their transition into civilian employment.  This employee would then become their mentor during their transition period to give support and advice whenever it is required.

Protector Group places a high value on all ex service personnel, their transferable skills and experiences which new believe raises the profile of the company.

The company has established effective partnerships with various ex forces organisations such as Career Transition Partnership, Walking with Wounded, Veterans Employment Transition Support to gain highly skilled ex service personnel. We have a non-discriminatory policy on recruitment and actively try and recruit from the Armed Forces Pool.  There are a number of personnel within the organisation who are ex-military veterans.

We also promote our business by advertising our opportunities within the British forces discount newsletter in order to attract those personnel who may have left the services sometime ago and who are looking for work.

About us

The Protector Group was founded by an ex royal marine some 20 plus years ago and has always had a policy of recruiting ex forces personnel and this is continued to this day.  The company supports the ministry of defence reservist and openly welcome new employees from the services.  We have actively supported our reservist employees when they are deployed, called up or for compulsory training.  We maintain their job fully until their return.  As part of our procedures we allow forces reservist employees an additional 5 days holiday to support their training.  We are looking at increasing this to 10 days at some time in the near future.
