The Royal British Legion AND The Veterans Gateway

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

The Royal British Legion is committed to supporting our Armed Forces community. We do this by:

- Advertising all external vacancies to enable a fair and transparent recruitment process.
- Being committed to helping employees achieve a better work life balance between work and home life by  individual consideration of requests for flexible working and adjustments to working times, especially by spouses / partners with partners on deployment.
- Supporting employee requests for special leave, for example compassionate leave for bereavement or for family events.
- Supporting employees who choose to be a member of Reserve Forces by providing additional annual paid leave to meet training requirements.
- Support for spouses and partners through our Employee Assistance Programme.

About us

The Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community through thick and thin – ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten. We’ve been here since 1921 and we’ll be here as long as they need us.

The Veterans' Gateway is the first point of contact for veterans seeking support. We put veterans and their families in touch with the organisations best placed to help with the information, advice and support they need – from healthcare and housing to employability, finances, personal relationships and more.
