The Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

The Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our organisation. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:

  • promoting the fact that we are an armed forces-friendly organisation;
  • seeking to support the employment of veterans young and old and working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), in order to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service Leavers;
  • striving to support the employment of Service spouses and partners.

We will publicise these commitments through our literature and/or on our website, setting out how we will seek to honour them.

About us

The Foundation’s mission is to make Birmingham the best place to be educated in the UK.  With this inspiring mission, we are determined to help our city’s young people to harness and maximise their potential, wherever they live, irrespective of their circumstances and whatever their aptitudes.

It is through our people that excellent and life changing pupil experiences will be achieved.  We are proud of the Foundation’s distinguished heritage and the people who, through their innovation and effective stewardship of our resources, have over the years enabled the Foundation to make a significant impact across the city.
