Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
The Ultra group are proud to be signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and even more proud to hold a Gold award as part of the Employers Recognition Scheme (ERS). We employee a number of veterans, reservists, cadet instructors and their families, providing additional paid leave to support training requirements. We also fundraise for military charities and are forming our own internal veterans network in the UK and linking with our colleagues in the Australia, Canada and the US.

The Ultra group specialises in providing innovative solutions to highly technical problems with defence being our biggest market sector, although we also operate in other safety critical areas such as civil aviation and nuclear power. We are also the world leader in technology for forensic investigation. We are mainly a Tier 3 (sub-system) supplier but occasionally a Tier 2 (system) supplier – providing high quality kit to the Five Eyes nations. As well as talented engineers and scientists, we also have all of our own support functions such as HR, Finance and IT/IS and are committed to flexible working where possible and are striving to be one of the best places to work in the UK.
