Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

The University of Nottingham is committed to supporting the Armed Forces community and recognises the value serving personnel, Reservists, Veterans and military families bring to our organisation. We seek to support the values of the Armed Forces Covenant in many ways, including:

• promoting that we are an armed forces-friendly organisation
• seeking to support the employment of veterans
• striving to support the employment of Service spouses and partners
• providing flexibility in the granting of leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after deployment
• supporting our employees who choose to be members of the Reserve Forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible
• supporting our employees who choose to be volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations
