Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Veterans Into Logistics CIC recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:
Veterans Into Logistics CIC is a organisation that is founded by ex-military personnel for ex-military community, our objective is to provide Transport and Logistics Training to support or veterans, service leavers, Reservists and family members into Logistics Careers.
About us
Veterans into Logistics CIC, which is a not-for-profit organisation, we have come about as want to make a difference to the veteran community.
As you will be aware from what you see in the news, there are veterans who find themselves unemployed upon leaving the Armed Forces, this may lead to a veteran becoming homeless, in some cases a veteran ends up in prison, or even worse a veteran takes their own life.
We understand that not everyone who leaves the Armed Forces makes an easy transition back into civilian life, we understand this because we are ex-military ourselves and have experienced how difficult this transition can be.
There are many factors that can make the transition harder for some veterans settling back into civilian life, one of these factors is finding meaningful employment, which can be difficult if you have non-transferable skills upon leaving the Armed Forces, which is highly common amongst ex-infantry soldiers.
Through our own life experiences, we believe a new career for as an LGV driver within the transport and logistic industry would suit many ex-military personnel who have no transferrable skills or who are struggling to find meaningful employment.
We hope that you may be interested in what we do with Veterans at Veterans into Logistics CIC, if this is feasible, we would like to provide drivers for Bowker Group, with this in mind we do not only train drivers, but we make a positive impact on a company’s social value with high standards and very good ethos.
