Upskill with free courses for adults

Adults without A-level or equivalent qualifications can now access hundreds of free courses thanks to the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, which was announced in the autumn. 

Almost 400 qualifications are now available to those aged 19 or over in England who are either in work or recently unemployed, some of which are available online or part-time. Click here for more information and details of how to apply. 

Also on offer are skills bootcamps, which are free flexible courses of up to 16 weeks. These have been developed in partnership with employers, colleges and local authorities, to help people develop the skills that are in demand in their local area. They include a range of digital courses and technical skills courses, like construction or engineering.
