Transferring Qualifications
Some governing bodies and professions set their own standards and qualification requirements that differ between the Home Nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales). These can include legal professions, teaching and social work, among others.
If you move between the Home Nations and wish to continue working in your chosen profession, you should contact your relevant professional body to confirm any registration requirements.
Here are guides from Ofqual and SCQF to help you to work out how your qualifications compare.
If you have any questions, please contact your relevant Families Federation.
Overseas Qualifications
For non-UK families with overseas qualifications, you are able to apply for a Statement of Comparability from the UK ENIC. They can provide information and expert advice on the evaluation and recognition of international skills and qualifications.
UK ENIC can also support service children and young people who require a Statement of Comparability for key stages of education completed overseas.
The Statement of Comparability service is not free, so it may be worthwhile speaking to your employer first, they could have the ability to check with UK ENIC on your behalf, if they have a registered account.
