RAFAKidz Nursery, MOD Abbey Wood, Stoke Gifford, Bristol BS34 8JH 

£12.83 - 13.50 per hour

 

Just like our children, we are growing! RAFAKidz started out as one of the chosen providers of nursery services to the RAF community. We are excited to announce that we have been invited to bring our expertise and touch of magic to a brand-new setting to provide high quality affordable childcare at MOD Abbey Wood. The nursery opened in January 2024 and we are looking for new colleagues to join us on our journey to grow the nursery into a thriving and stimulating environment for our children and employees. 

 

About the team 

Our new nursery is one of 14 settings in the RAFAKidz family. Currently we have 27 staff and 83 children however we are currently recruiting more colleagues due to our waiting list for children’s places. Working closely with a newly appointed Nursery Manager, you will be supported by our wider management team - it's a real team effort!  

We are looking to welcome colleagues who are Level 2/3 qualified, including newly qualified applicants looking to take the next step in their early years career path. If you can bring a motivated, enthusiastic, creative and ‘hands-on’ attitude, then please read on! 

We offer subsidised childcare for colleagues to be able to bring their children with them, high quality up-to-date training including using our software to electronically record your observations and updates. You’ll have ample annual leave and time off to relax and recharge over the Christmas period. 

We will give you a great induction experience, training and development opportunities and you’ll be learning on the job with committed and enthusiastic colleagues – it’s a real team effort! 

 A typical day in the role will include; 

  • Meet and greet families and build great relationships 

  • Using the EYFS learning outcomes to plan and carry out fun, educational and stimulating activities 

  • Updating and maintaining accurate records that fulfil Ofsted requirements 

  • Designated key worker responsibilities for a group of children 

  • Work with Senco to identify and support children with special educational needs and disabilities 

  • Role model to other colleagues and supporting them in their learning journeys towards qualifications
