The Role - Asset & Lifecycle Project Coordinator

The Asset & Lifecycle Projects Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Lifecycle Projects Manager to ensure the delivery of all projects to meet the requirements of the contract and specifications. This role will support and manage all onsite lifecycle and variation project works, liaising directly with the school, site teams, contractors and suppliers as directed by the Lifecycle Manager. The Projects coordinator will also help maintain and manage project and financial admin documentation.

The Asset & Lifecycle Projects Coordinator will report directly to the Lifecycle Manager.

 

Duties/Key Responsibilities

  • To support and work closely with the Lifecycle Manager to assist in the delivery of all lifecycle and variation projects across all the contracts.
  • To assist in reviewing the scope of works for all lifecycle and variation projects on each specific contract.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to survey works and assist in providing quotes that meet the projects requirements.
  • Assist in reviewing contractor and supplier quotes to ensure all the requirements have been provided for.
  • Assist in the management of lifecycle and variation works in accordance with contract documents and contracted timescales.
  • Review and assess contractors risk assessments and method statements against the scope of works.
  • Attend prestart meetings with contractors, team meetings and client meetings as required.
  • Assist in the project administration and project finances throughout the lifespan of a project form inception to completion and handover in accordance with the contract requirements.
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of contractors works and ensure health and safety is always followed in accordance with their risk assessments and method statements, including safeguarding of children.
  • To liaise regularly with the Lifecycle Manager, contract managers, site teams and school representatives to assist planning works with all relevant parties and minimize disruption.
  • To assist in problem solving and crisis management if required.
  • To snag and review the completion of all works and provide feedback as required to the Lifecycle Manager.
  • To provide a hands-on approach and be able to self-deliver small projects when required.
  • To attend and deliver any company training as required by your manager.
  • To deputies for the Lifecycle Manager during absence and annual leave.

 

Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise with and assist external service providers.
  • Ability to work within a team and manage contractors within live environments.
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach to working on multiple sites.
  • Organized and thorough in administration work and meticulous in detail gathering.
  • Previous experience in condition surveying and project delivering.
  • Confident can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and progress within the role.
  • Prior knowledge of lifecycle project requirements or construction work environment
  • Previous experience of reviewing risk and method statements
  • Previous experience of working in the Education sector or PFI Contracts  
  • IT literate in Excel and Microsoft project
