Permanent (inc. 36-48-month Level 7 Apprenticeship Programme)

Southampton / Hybrid (2-3 days per week at the office).

Key responsibilities

We are looking for driven individuals to join B&Q, the UK's leading home improvement retailer, part of the Kingfisher group. You'll be joining a fast paced, exciting finance team with a fantastic opportunity of future career development.

Our Finance apprenticeship scheme is a 36-48-month programme, to support gaining a professional Finance qualification (ACCA or CIMA) plus an industry recognised Level 7 apprenticeship qualification (equivalent to a Master's Degree). Alongside this, you will gain relevant work experience and essential skills & behaviours training. There will be plenty of support along the way in the shape of your development from your peer group, line manager and mentor.

You will develop skills in areas such as:

  • Budgeting for key business functions
  • Forecasting cashflow
  • Statutory reporting
  • Performance analysis
  • Project appraisal
  • Core accounting in our operational team
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Communicating with a variety of stakeholders
  • Supporting in high profile presentations to senior managers

Required skills & experience
