The Role / Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for key aspects of product offerings, within the Insurance Operating Unit, including developing value propositions and positioning. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with product development teams and educating the sales force about product offerings.

  • Responsible for key aspects of Insurance product offerings including supporting early stage of the product innovation lifecycle, developing value proposition and market positioning.
  • Work closely with product development teams consisting of product management and advisory resources from specification and development of the new product to roll out and maintenance.
  • Develop ideas and business plans for new product strategy, including tracking current and emerging "deep currents" to identify potential new product opportunities or modifications to existing products.
  • Communicate solutions strategies and financial impact to senior management and key internal stakeholders to obtain buy-in.
  • Source and analyze market feedback on products and services.
  • Develop estimates of total available market sizes as part of the development of the business case to support go/no-go decisions.
  • Educate sales force about products at team meetings, global offsites and product roadshows.
  • Take active role in consulting on potential corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships.
  • Monitor the execution of the solutions strategies in coordination with various internal departments.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's degree) in a business related discipline or marketing, graduate/second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master's) preferred.
  • 5+ years experience.
  • Experience in marketing, strategic planning or product development also favorably considered.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills (including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access and relational database queries).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
