Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Governance, Cabinet and Civic Support Team at Staffordshire County Council.

The services that we support within our team are as follows: Civic Events, Administration of the Lord-Lieutenant & Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Member & Democratic Services, School Admission Appeals and the Access to Information Team.

We offer flexible working arrangements including hybrid working to support a good work life balance and needs of the service however office cover will be required in Staffordshire Place 1 and Unit QB and you will need access to a car for work purposes.  

Main Responsibilities

You will be supporting the Governance, Cabinet and Civic Support Team in delivering high quality Business Support service. Main duties include:

  • Help to process Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests using House-on-the-Hill Software.
  • General administration duties such as: printing, scanning and posting out packs of information.
  • Support the School Admission Appeals team by logging new appeals, printing and posting panel packs and supporting the facilitation of appeals panels.
  • General administration duties to support Civic Events and elected Members of the County Council.
