About this opportunity
Gleeds Building Surveying have recently secured a number of long term commissions and therefore have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician to join our team in Leeds.
We have a rapidly expanding profile enjoying continuing success providing a broad range of services to a variety of Public and Private Sector Clients. We are currently working on a variety of projects ranging from large scale refurbishments to one off professional Instructions.

You will be working mainly on some of our newly acquired frameworks for a number of public sector clients and your duties will include: -
  • Undertaking full measured surveys to enable the production of existing plans and elevations.
  • Undertaking building design duties including the preparation of drawings and specifications.
  • Gaining all necessary statutory approvals.
  • Production of space planning drawings.
  • Production of 2/3D construction drawings from site notes and or sketches.
  • Production of detailed sections/elevations taken from raw data or sketches.
  • Responsibility for checking drawings and issuing them to clients.
  • Responsibility for organising own workload to meet client demands.

Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, and NBS, with experience in Revit being ideal but not essential.
You will be expected to have a thorough and up to date understanding of UK Building Regulations as well as any other relevant legislation.
You will be familiar with the production of 2D Construction drawings including all necessary sections and detailing (3D would be advantageous but not essential).
