Job Description

Job Title: Calibration Engineer

Location: Rochester

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Undertake routine calibrations of electrical and mechanical test equipment, supporting BAE Rochester Operations
  • Installation of ESD work stations
  • Understand supplier / subcontractor traceability and calibration processes
  • Perform continuous improvement activities
  • Support the maintenance of test equipment, located on the shop floor

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Previous experience of fault finding, repairing and testing electronic equipment
  • Calibration background
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent business relationships across all levels within the business

Desirable:

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Discipline

The Calibration team:

As a Calibration Engineer you will be reporting to the Calibration Team Leader. You will be responsible for ensuring Calibration activities and maintenance of test equipment are completed to support the business.
