Catering Assistant

As a catering assistant at Sodexo at Edinburgh Academy Junior School, you are the face of the service operation. This role includes the preparation and serving of our various menus and ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times. What you'll do: 

• Assist in the setup and serving of hot and/or cold foods from counters and steam tables. 

• Clean and sanitise equipment and workstations. 

• Reads recipes and/or product directions and estimates food requirements. 

• Serve and replenish food from the counters, steam table, and break-down stations at the end of meal periods. 

• Interacts with students in the serving, retail, and dining areas. 

What you bring: 

• Positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others 

• Basic food-handling skills 

• No previous work experience is required.

• Events and weekend working sometimes required depending on the needs of the business
• £11.50 per hour  
• 25 hours per week (overtime / weekend work available business depending)
• 9:30am till 2:30pm
