Key responsibilities

The CDP Manager (Tealium) sits in the CRM & Loyalty Personalisation team, alongside Marketing Automation. This role is responsible for recommending and enabling best practice design and build of customer segments/attributes within Tealium for use in multi-channel CRM and where first party customer data from Tealium is being used in other channels e.g.; performance marketing. As well as being accountable for best practice data design, the role is also required to maintain the CDP and structure a clean data schema with appropriate tagging to ensure the platform remains well-organised. The CDP Manager is expected to provide specific Tealium and wider CDP usage expertise into the CRM and Analytics & Data Science teams. This role sits in the wider CRM & Loyalty team, whose remit is to drive value from our customers at all stages of their relationship with us. The wider team is focused on utilising customer data and consent to maintain and grow each customer relationship, in order to drive business growth including sales, profit and share and long-term loyalty.

You'll be focussed on driving awareness and understanding of the capability of Tealium and enabling the business to exploit it within CRM and Performance Marketing.

Collaborate with Commercial CRM Managers/Execs, Marketing Automation Manager/Exec and Analysts in the upfront planning of a CRM programme. Providing Tealium SME input and therefore enabling the programme to be defined and built in a best practice way based on Tealium capability and the data it holds/could hold

Play an integral role in the planning and delivery of complex, personalised, automated programmes, utilising knowledge of Tealium capability and the available customer data to input to this

Build CRM data attributes/segments in Tealium to the required specification for CRM and Performance Marketing deployment

Have a deep understanding of the capability of Tealium and educate Commercial CRM Managers/Execs, Marketing Automation Manager/Exec and Analysts on this and where it can be applied to improve operations and/or performance

Have expert knowledge on the range of customer data sources (web data, mobile app data, sales data, geo-location data etc) to be joined together in Tealium to create an enhanced customer view that can be used for marketing purposes

Be aware of, understand and utilise new features in Tealium, sharing this knowledge across the team when relevant

Collaborate with the Tealium support team and the Kingfisher Tealium Product Owner to support you in achieving your objectives, utilising their specialist knowledge

Champion and drive forward the vision for the CDP to be the source of audience curation/selection, minimising reliance/use of RedPoint and utilising Braze as a multichannel orchestration deployment tool

Build the required in house capabilities for Campaign Build, to enable reduced reliance on agency partners

Implement rigorous knowledge management through documentation, training and coaching using tools such as Confluence

Adhere to data quality/management best practice and regulation including ensuring compliance to GDPR

You'll make key decisions about...

o Decisions relating to Tealium data schema and data requirements for CRM programmes and performance marketing

o Decisions relating to the operations of the CDP, the processes followed and the approach to knowledge management

o Team recruitment and performance

Required skills & experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

Expert knowledge of Tealium with knowledge of how data flows into Tealium A/S via different integration methodologies

Significant experience in CDP management - Tealium, mParticle, Segment or equivalent market-leading CDP

Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript / Python / NodeJS for editing data as well as understanding of SDKs, APIs, JSON

Deep understanding of first-party customer data that should be available and utilised within a CDP

Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues

Is skilled in scoping and delivering data requirements for programmes with automation and personalisation requirements and can evidence successful examples of this

Holds a mindset of continuous improvement and is highly curious, continually evolving your knowledge of CRM technology
