About the role:
As a new position the Cleaning Supervisor will lead a Team. You will supervise and manage all works completed by the team of cleaners ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards, likely to get involved in carrying out work directly as well. 

The role will involve the cleaning and maintenance of the development, being proactively involved in social and community activities and contributing to the smooth daily running of school.


What the role involves:

  • Utilise existing stock or collect materials as required for the site. Ensuring Mears procurement standards are maintained.
  • Completing WIP and Post inspection on tasks completed by the cleaners ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Complete and maintain all paperwork & electronic data records relevant to work carried out, to ensure completion is confirmed and a comprehensive and accurate history is available for audit, quality, health & safety and charging purposes.
  • Take on any requests the client makes directing your team successful to complete the task at a high standard.
  • Adopt a professional manner when communicating with the client to build and maintain a positive view of Mears Group. This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, communication.
  • Highlight any safeguarding concerns to the relevant individual within branch as early as possible to ensure this is resolved.

What you need to have:
We are looking for an experienced candidate with a background in providing a high level of service along with the ability to lead and develop a Team to provide a 1st class service. Candidates who come from Education or Facilities sectors will be desirable. Along with:

  • DBS clearance
  • Supervisory Experience
  • Experience of working on a management contract in a cleaning capacity
  • Good written & verbal communication skills.
  • Numeracy skills. 
  • Able to understand & follow standard operating procedures. Able to use a PDA following training.
  • Client Focused and understanding of what makes a good team.
  • Full, current driving licence,
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrates company values.
