What you'll be doing

You will manage operational process improvements, identify requirements, and apply knowledge of system functionality to deliver continuous improvements for the Commercial Direct claims function. You will also help deliver projects and business as usual (BAU) initiative goals, along with daily referral and issues management.

  • Identify new requirements and enhancements to ClaimCenter functionality and business processes, ensuring these support the Commercial Direct Claims TOM and overall strategy
  • Be a contact for Claims Change for change proposals in Commercial Direct Claims concerning ClaimCenter
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Direct Claims Leadership team about changes and manage stakeholders
  • Contribute to and deliver against Commercial Direct Claims projects, demonstrating sound knowledge of Commercial claims handling
  • Provide operational input to any change requests and progress for Commercial Direct Claims in collaboration with Claims Change
  • Define, develop and implement work streams across all lines of Commercial Direct, including support for onshore and offshore
  • Demonstrate understanding and consideration to the difference in system functionality, claims processes/complexity and customers across Personal Lines and Commercial Direct
  • Identify, raise and help investigate fundamental ClaimCenter issues affecting Commercial Direct, ensuring risks are identified, escalated and addressed
  • Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to the role, following Direct Line Group risk framework
  • Ensure own product and process knowledge is kept up to date and identify opportunities to learn new skills and enhance capability and demonstrate DLG values

What we're looking for

  • Previous property claims handling experience and preferably with a Commercial background
  • Ability to analyse complex data, assess risk factors, and make decisions to improve claims outcomes
  • Proficiency in navigating and managing changes and risks within the claims environment
  • Competence in project management methodologies, with a focus on efficient claims handling processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement at all levels
  • A continuous improvement mindset
