Aylesford based - Travel is required across Kent

Salary up to £46,368  per annum, depending on experience

Out of Hours will be required

Full time - Permanent - 42.5hrs per week

Including Company vehicle and fuel card

5 + 5 year contract

About the Role:

Due to a new contract win we are seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team.

As a Commercial Gas Engineer within our Aylesford branch your main duties will be to carry out gas servicing and repairs and breakdowns to any emergencies within the NHS buildings that occur. The role is to rectify, repair or make safe as applicable. 

  • Gas safety checks, gas network tests to TPCP1 & 1A.
  • Compiling assets lists, condition reports.
  • Compiling quotes for extra works.
  • Testing equipment and appliances to ensure that they function and meet safety standards.
  • Repair using problem-solving to address the issue.
  • Assess risk and follow all safety regulations.
  • Install gas appliances when and if required.
  • Utilise the proper materials to make sure that the job can be completed properly.
  • All work areas must be kept orderly to ensure the safety of yourself and customer.

       

Role Criteria

  • Commercial gas qualified with minimum of 2 years' experience, or proven track record.
  • ACS certification for gas works CCN1 CENWAT CODNCO1 CDGA1 CIGA1 but not exclusive.
  • City and guilds or gas service engineer standards
  • Experience working as a gas engineer
  • Knowledge and understanding of gas health and safety
  • Experience working within a commercial setting to FSG20 & BSRIA 50
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Team player and ability to work alone
  • Knowledge of working in a critical NHS setting would be beneficial but not essential.
  • DBS checked
  • Clean driving licence
