The Role
As a Commercial Specialist you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a team providing commercial support to deliver vital services to the British Army as it continues to evolve in a rapidly changing world.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for supplying commercial guidance to project teams; co-ordinating responses to new customer requirements and leading contract change control:

  • Co-ordinate and attend contract level reviews.
  • Evaluate, amend, review and update commercial procedures.
  • Support or lead contract negotiations.
  • Support or lead business improvement activities.
  • Attend management meetings at various locations

This position is full time, 37 hours per week with a hybrid mixture of working from home and on site at one of the following locations:

  • Donnington, Shropshire
  • Andover, Hampshire
  • Warminster, Wiltshire
  • Bovington, Dorset
  • Warrington, Cheshire
  • London

Essential Experience of the Commercial Specialist:

  • Previous experience in a commercial role
  • Prior experience of MoD processes and dealing with Government customers preferred but not essential
  • High degree of literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to understand contracts.
  • Defence / public sector background ideal - anything that involves contract work.

Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist:

  • Ideally, hold or be working towards a recognised professional qualification (IACCM, WCC, PGCCM) or equivalent / similar but, this is not essential.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
