Salary: £55,573 - £63,643 + car allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

As a Construction Assurance Manager reporting to the Project Director, you will be influential in maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality across our construction projects. You are expected to lead with authority and ensure compliance with construction phase plans, project quality plans, legislation, and standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continual improvement. This role is critical in delivering substantial contributions to our net-zero future, offering vast scope for leadership and innovation.

- Ensure site works are executed safely, adhering to construction phase plans and SSEN procedures. Verify that all site works are in line with project quality plans following SSEN standards and construction specifications, addressing defects prior to handover.

- Proactively identify and minimize issues affecting project cost or schedule, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

- Act as NEC Supervisor, managing construction defects and quality matters effectively. Assess and report construction non-compliances, ensuring compliance with Large Capital Governance for significant projects.

- Identify and implement business improvements, promoting innovation.

- Build meaningful relationships with contractors and stakeholders, benefiting project delivery.

What do I need?

We would love you to be a proven construction professional with the following skills and experience:

- An Engineering qualification and significant construction delivery experience in an infrastructure or similar environment.

- In-depth understanding of construction, quality assurance, construction interface management, and multi-contract delivery with proven ability to undertake the NEC Supervisor role, manage construction contracts, quality defects remedies, project quality plans, and test witnessing.

- Experience in construction health and safety legislation and a working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

- Effective in using contract management software for defect resolution, and proficient in producing progress reports on project compliance.

- Exceptional organisational, communication, conflict resolution, and project planning skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
