The role
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. We are happy to consider flexible, blended working, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
Essential experience of the Cost Engineer
- Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
- Extensive experience applying budgeting & cost control in a complex environment
- Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3-4/JCT etc ) including resolution of claims and disputes
- Advanced knowledge of cost management techniques
- Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management
Qualifications for the Cost Engineer
- HNC or bachelor's level qualification/degree (or equivalent) in cost engineering, project management, quantity surveying or a related field
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) /security clearance for this role.
