Are you an experienced military or Fire Service Trainer looking for a new role?

This opportunity will join our leading team in shaping the future defence fire and rescue teams. This is a high-profile role and one where you play a pivotal role in shaping the careers of those that you teach and that of the DFRP across the UK. You will be training a wide range of delegates from Trainee firefighters to Incident Command and Fire Safety, you will deliver material which will shape the future careers of Defence Firefighters

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering a variety of training of both professional and non-professional fire and rescue training
  • Delivering instructional content and facilitating learning needs
  • Supporting the scheduling of Defence Training and the allocation of Defence Trainers
  • Helping to develop and deliver high quality training material using several cutting-edge technologies including Artificial Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).
  • Training a variety of individuals, from basic recruits through to seasoned managers

What we're looking for:

  • Previous firefighting training experience
  • Accredited breathing apparatus qualification, would be an advantage
  • Experience at Crew Manager or Corporal level or equivalent within the Local Authority Fire Service
  • At least a level 3 qualification/accreditation in teaching and learning or the Defence Trainer Course competency
  • An aviation background would be an advantage
