Direct Payment Worker

The job itself

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring direct payment worker to support a 12-year-old boy living in Pollington near Goole. The requested support needed is for 6 hours a week term time and 12hours in the school holidays. The worker will need to hold a driving license and have access to a car due to the semi-rural location. The candidate would need to be able to meet the young person at the location at 16:00pm on arranged weekdays when he is dropped off by transport from school.

The young persons have an Autism diagnosis and associated learning difficulties. He is a very caring and laid-back individual that does not display challenging behaviour. His interests include gaming, watching movies and swimming. The ideal worker would be required to support both in the home and out in the community.

The ideal candidate will be conscientious, and willing to be flexible to meet the requirements of the family. They will need to be confident and have knowledge of working with Children with special educational needs.
