The Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) and Team Manager are part of the Community Safety and Wellbeing Directorate. The IDVA roles identify, assess, and assist victim-survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse, in order to increase their safety and the safety of their families.

Salary: £45,441 to £48,474 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 14 June 2026. The final end date will be confirmed with the successful candidate.

Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Location: Bridge House, Barrington Rd, Goring-by-Sea, Worthing BN12 4SE (Hybrid and Flexible Working)

You will work Monday to Friday with the requirement to travel countrywide. You will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool cars and pool bikes available. Final arrangements will be confirmed with successful candidate.

The Opportunity

We're looking for someone passionate about working in the local community, building relationships and who will manage the day-to-day operation of the service.

In this role, you will lead, supervise and oversight of a team that provides direct intervention to victim-survivors and their families through targeted support and partnership working with both internal and external partners including Children's Social Care and Police.

You will work with partner organisations to ensure victim-survivors receive the advice, information, and support that they require, including the provision of practical support where appropriate to reduce risk and promote safety.

With a focus on continuous improvement, you will lead and manage our Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) responsibilities in West Sussex. You will ensure that all victims remain central to all coordinated responses and holding those causing harm to account.

As a proactive leader, you will enable the team to provide support to those who affected by sexual violence and abuse. You will be responsible for the case management for the IDVAs delivering the service and will regularly liaise with the Integrated Front Door Domestic Abuse Team Manager, ensuring that a seamless service is delivered to clients from referral to exit from service.
