Join us at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises (AP) for up to 26 women, supported by a specially trained all-women workforce! We provide support for women either returning to the community after serving time in prison or have been given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.

 

We're currently looking for a Domestic Cleaner  to join our established team, to provide specialist cleaning and maintenance services. You'll create a clean, healthy, and safe environment for all residents, employees and visitors.

 

We'll need your excellent organisation skills and attention to detail as you keep all supplies stocked and manage any deliveries. You'll also ensure any health and safety risks are identified and reported to our Manager on duty.

 

Our successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a residential setting. However, we appreciate that not everyone can tick every box, so long as you are a confident, polite, and courteous communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong team relations.

Location: Bristol, Blackberry Hill area
Hours: Part-time, working 21 hours per week (days to be agreed)
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Performance of specialist and general cleaning tasks to prescribed standards and in accordance with the work schedule, either on an individual basis or as part of a team
  • Ensure that all health and safety risks are identified and report any accidents, trips, spills, hazards or near misses to the Manager
  • Have a full understanding of heavy-duty cleaning equipment and procedures, their use and maintenance
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery used are cleaned regularly and securely stored along with materials
  • Wear protective clothing in line with policy and use approved safe methods and techniques when lifting and handling
