Early Years and Childcare Business and Governance Adviser.

Salary: SO2 point 26 -28    £34834-£36648 per annum.

The post is full time (37 hours per week) and initially fixed term for 1 year.

About the role

The Early Years Business and Governance team works pro-actively with registered childcare providers to ensure they are meeting their statutory requirements regarding Ofsted, Employment, Early Years funding, and governance and management systems. The team also supports with future sustainability and extended provision. The team is not involved in supporting the quality of play and learning in childcare settings.

We are small friendly team within the wider Early Years, Childcare and School Readiness Service.

The post is full time (37 hours per week) and initially fixed term for 1 year. 

What you will be doing

You will lead on systems for guidance, administration, audit and best practice for Early Years Funding in Cambridgeshire alongside generic Early Years Business and Governance support.

The role has a flexible working pattern to support both service delivery and your home/work life balance and will involve some travel to settings, home working and office-based working from the principal base at Sunley House, Papworth Everard, Cambridge CB23 3AB with occasional travel to other Cambridgeshire County Council offices.

About you

We are seeking a skilled, organised, and experienced person qualified to Level 3 equivalent or above in Early Years and Childcare and/or Business administration/ management systems. You should also have a working knowledge and experience of a range of Early Years and childcare settings. Full details can be found in the job description and person specification.
