Electrical Maintenance Team Members - Rolling Stock

Rullion require electrically qualified skilled fitters to work with a leading rail/rolling stock company located out of Manchester.

You will play a pivotal role as part of the defect clearance team on open defects, to work alongside the Service and Exam Team's for the Class 390 Avanti High-Speed Trains fleet, and your duties will be centered at the Manchester Train Care Centre.

Shift Pattern:
Permanent Nights (4 nights on, 4 nights off)

Start Date:
Asap.

Duration:
Ongoing contract, initially for 6 months but will be extended.

Rates:
- First 12 weeks:
  - PAYE: £23.37 per hour
  - Umbrella: £29.32 per hour

- Post 12 weeks:
  - PAYE: £26.53 per hour
  - Umbrella: £35.15 per hour

Please be aware that this position is subject to IR35 regulations, which means that we do not engage with Limited Companies for this role.

Background Requirements:
While prior experience in Rolling Stock is preferred, it is not mandatory. A background the REME (Engineering in the Armed Forces), HGV/Buses, Aerospace or maintenance of large vehicles is also an option.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or an equivalent recognised qualification) to meet the specified criteria. Additionally, a strong knowledge of Microsoft applications is required.

Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, your primary responsibilities will encompass servicing, maintaining, and repairing the Class 390 Avanti High-Speed Trains Fleet. As an integral member of the team, you will ensure that traction and rolling stock are serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, with a continuous emphasis on enhancing quality.
