The Boeing Company is looking for Test and Evaluation Engineers to join a new team of aerodynamic test engineers in Farnborough, United Kingdom. This team is part of our new High-Lift Aerodynamics Collaboration Centre (HiLACC), based on-site at the wind tunnel in Cody Technology Park, Farnborough, UK, and will function as a direct extension of the Aero-Test Labs Team in Seattle, WA, USA.

The Role

As part of Boeing Test & Evaluation, this position will require a methodical approach to problem-solving; developing hardware and software solutions to over-constrained problems in order to support internal customer needs. The successful candidate will have an engineering background that goes beyond the theoretical and addresses real-world problems through the application of engineering principles with a logical and judicious approach. As the team is small, multiple hats will be worn, from wind tunnel model design to test methods & instrumentation to test directing, all working as part of a global Test and Evaluation team.

This position is expected to be 100% on-site in Farnborough, with approximately 5% travel domestically and/or internationally.

This position requires the ability to obtain a BPSS clearance.

Position Responsibilities

Design component and sub-assembly level hardware or software and use analytical tools to verify the design.

Assist in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.

Develop simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk.

Identify solutions to basic problems and support the development of processes, methods, and tools.

Support development of test debrief material. Participate in evaluation of test performance data.

Review test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer.
