About the Role
As a Finance Administrator at The Investigo Group, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team with day-to-day financial activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Completing VAT returns
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errors
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
- Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Help prepare employee wages / Assisting with payroll preparation and related activities.
- Help manage employee expense claims
- Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
- Checking customer’s credit and approving or denying it, based on industry standards
- Ensuring customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices
- Maintaining accurate records
- Implementing changes in the company’s credit control system
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Conducting bank reconciliations and monitoring accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining and updating financial records and databases.
- Providing support during audits by gathering and organising financial data.
- Responding to inquiries from customers, suppliers, and internal staff regarding financial matters.
- Collaborating with members of the Contracting and Training Team to ensure smooth operations and compliance with financial regulations.
- Assisting with ad hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.
