We’re running a fully-paid 9-month Leadership Placement Programme in 2024 – 2025, for Military Service Leavers, High Performing Athletes and Military Spouses. We have 20 placements available in various areas of our business.

 

You’ll be assigned a mentor and get involved in real-life business problems. We will build your commercial and industry knowledge, whilst connecting you to our active internal networks. You will learn from the best and if you excel, there is significant opportunity to transition into Centrica as a permanent employee post-placement.

 

What you’ll do on placement:

Due to last year’s successful Forces leadership placement campaign, this year we have increased our offering to 20 individual placements. Our placement opportunities span across the whole breadth of Centrica’s businesses, from roles in Field Operations, Brand Partnerships and Project Management all the way to Legal, Customer Delivery and Security – this is your chance to kickstart the next chapter of your career.

On placement, every day will be different.  It will be fast paced, interesting and dynamic.  You will acquire new skills, get involved in projects, achieve clear goals and become part of our team.  You’ll also gain a variety of opportunities to directly network with business leaders in Centrica; this will assist in identifying your future potential beyond placement and where your skill set best lies.

Who we’re looking for:

We want agile, creative, adaptable individuals who can help us think differently.  We want people who possess strong leadership skills; in a nutshell, we’re after our next group of business leaders. You should be able to think outside the box, problem solve and operate effectively as a team player.  We’re after motivated self-starters who possess resilience, discipline, and clear judgement.  We need to see an ability to learn quickly, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

 

You should be comfortable engaging with anyone in the business, from the CEO to a junior apprentice. We welcome applications from High Performing Athletes, Service Leavers undergoing resettlement – or within 24 months of leaving the Forces and still eligible for CTP support. We expect ex-military applicants to have spent at least 4 years within a leadership role – this is a leadership placement after all. We also welcome applications this year from military spouses.

You’ll need to be available to start your placement from Monday 30th September 2024.
