Grounds Maintenance Technician

Overview

Bradburys Global Risk Group is recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Technician to be responsible for maintaining the exterior grounds and creating a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment of various office facilities within the East Midlands, England, United Kingdom.

Role requirements:

Following an induction, on-boarding and training schedule, you will be required to:

  • Carry out regular grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming bushes and maintaining flower beds around the office building and car parks
  • Ensure the proper care and maintenance of trees and shrubs surrounding the property, including pruning and removal of dead or damaged branches
  • Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers and leaf blowers
  • Plant and care for seasonal flowers, plants and grass to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the office building surroundings
  • Conduct regular inspections of outdoor spaces to identify and remove litter and debris into on-site skips
  • Respond promptly to special requests from site managers or other departments regarding landscaping and groundskeeping needs
  • Work alone whilst collaborating with site managers to contribute ideas and coordinate efforts to maintain an attractive exterior environment for the office building and car parks

Applicants must possess the following:

  • A five-year checkable work history
  • Proof of Right to work in the UK
  • An excellent command of English communication skills (written, oral, email)
  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of horticulture, landscaping practices, and groundskeeping techniques
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment
  • Sound health and safety knowledge and ability to work in line with SWPs and RAMS
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent time keeping and time management

Core hours:

  • Weekly: Saturdays: 08.00-12.00

Pay:

£14.00 per hour
