Grounds Operative
Location: HMP Elmley, Isle of Sheppey, Kent
Salary: £24,513 - £26,741 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
About you:
Are you an experienced, motivated and capable Grounds Maintenance professional, with the ability to take accountability for the day-to-day maintenance of the grounds and amenity areas within our estate?
Are you able to carry out all ground's maintenance practices in areas of grass maintenance, turf culture, drainage, soil husbandry, ornamental horticulture and aquatics?

We provide critical and time-bound services to the Ministry of Justice and are looking for facilities management professionals that can make a difference to the sites and the people we are responsible for.
We're four years young and growing in the provision of our on site solutions to the prison service and want applicants with:
Experience in a similar Grounds Maintenance / Gardening role.
A relevant NVQ qualification and a Level 3 qualification in horticulture or a recognised horticultural equivalent.
Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements in relation to your post.
A full driving license, preferably with D1.
