Job Description

Purpose of the role:

An excellent opportunity for a Financial Modeller to join the Group FP&A team.

This role is integral to the Group's strategy planning processes. The successful candidate will be the owner of the Group's strategy modelling, and have the opportunity to work across all areas of the business interacting with a wide range of senior stakeholders (including Board level and external stakeholders) in order to help support and help drive strategic decision making. What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for development and maintenance of the Group's financial forecast modelling, including scenario planning and stress testing
  • Supporting the Head of FP&A in the production and review of analysis for key senior stakeholders based on those financial models
  • Support strategic planning and business planning processes
  • Understand and interpret different operating and strategic scenarios on top of the Group's core business plan to understand the implications for the Group's financial performance and strategy
  • Support with the preparation of Board reports including ownership of supporting analysis
  • Work with stakeholders from other areas of the business, including Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury to provide them with the financial information they require
  • Support ad hoc modelling requests from the CFO / Director of Group Finance in order to provide greater understanding of the Group's financial performance

What we're looking for:

  • Financial modelling experience, both building and reviewing, preferably at a professional services firm
  • 2+ years post qualified plus large corporate head office experience, prefer listed
  • Experience building and reviewing complex financial models
  • Experience producing and presenting outputs from financial modelling to senior stakeholders
  • Ideally experience of modelling different financial structures and covenants
  • Used to dealing with complex businesses
  • Enthusiastic, willing to get involved with multiple different work streams and develop
