About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to Glasgow or Perth

Your key responsibilities will include cultivating and maintaining constructive, trust based relationships with stakeholders, whilst leading on all global development & operational Procurement & Commercial activities for SSE Renewables (SSER) offshore energy projects.

Reporting into the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for developing, leading, and managing strategies essential for SSER's expansive offshore projects as well as managing all Procurement & Commercial matters pre and post contract (cradle to grave). In addition, you will:

- Lead the offshore Procurement and Commercial function within development & asset management while ensuring strict compliance with internal/external protocols.

- Understand commercial route to market aspects relating to offshore wind.

- Lead and motivate an international team of skilled Procurement & Commercial experts responsible for all supply chain related matters.

- Oversee the development of Procurement and Commercial strategies that supports both short and long-term business objectives.

- Collaborate with stakeholders & peers to contribute to SSER's strategical decisions and serve as a representative of SSER, engaging with industry committees, participating in events and other appropriate forums.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Considerable Renewables experience in a similar role with extensive experience in managing a team and excellent stakeholder management.

- Understanding of commercial aspects and implications of complex capital projects.

- Extensive experience in delivering procurement and commercial services.

- Ability to gain commitment and 'buy in' with excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Cost estimating and post contract commercial management expertise.
