SSE has an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) that owns, operates and maintain electricity distribution infrastructure across Great Britain. The IDNO is staffed by a core team with key services provided in the main by other SSE entities, mostly within the Distributed Energy division. The Adoption Manager has a key role developing new networks for adoption by the IDNO. The role holder will be developing relationships and taking projects from acceptance through execution to operation, to enable the IDNO to grow through the adoption of networks from ICPs. This is a key role that sits between the Project Development and Operations functions and will work with all areas of the IDNO business.

Key Responsibilities include :

- Manage the process for adoption of networks (newbuild and acquisition of existing network assets), this should include liaison with ICPs, acquiring land rights, recording of connected customers, and adopted assets.

- Carrying out onsite inspections of ICPs works ensuring a high quality of work is achieved and construction aligns with approved designs.

- Ensure that the Supply Chain for Services and Materials is in place and achieving best value for the IDNO.

- Build upon existing relationships with ICPs and develop new relationships to ensure that the IDNO has the widest network of adoption possibilities.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Appropriate understanding of the business processes necessary to construct, operate and maintain networks including Electricity Distribution Authorisations.

- Efficient, proactive, keen attention to detail with ability to multi-task and prioritise appropriately.

- Ensures the Company safety rules and all SHE related requirements are complied with

- Due to the nature of this role, its essential you possess a full driving licence.
