Location: Buttershaw / Hybrid Working (2-3 office days a week - Bradford) 

 

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

The IT Cost & Licensing Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the organisation's IT assets and ensuring effective budget control within the IT department. This role requires a strong understanding of IT asset management principles, financial management, and budgeting processes. The IT cost and licensing  Specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize asset utilization, minimize costs, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

As our IT Cost & Licensing Specialist you will 

 

  • Develop and manage the IT department's annual budget, in alignment with organisational goals and objectives. 
  • Provide first line assurance and control with licensing requirements & reviews of license against contractual arrangements. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and licensing agreements related to IT assets. 
  • Collaborate with IT teams, procurement, finance, and other relevant stakeholders to align asset management and budget control strategies with organisational objectives. 
  • Develop and implement iT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices. 

 

What skills & qualifications you will need: 

 

  • Full UK driving licence 
  • Knowledge of key IT licensing and audit requirements. 
  • Commercially focused with a demonstrable track record of delivering value. 
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and resolve disputes efficiently throughout the contract lifecycle. 
  • Ability to manipulate, analyse and present complex data sets with justifiable conclusions. 
  • Ability to utilise a variety of communication styles and tools in order to deliver a desired outcome. 
  • Ability to engage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders up to Tier 2 level. 
  • Procurement/contract management experience within IT 
  • An understanding and experience of delivering procurement compliant with the current Utilities Contracts Regulations 
  • Application of the use of the Microsoft Office Suite

We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 2-3 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
