The Exciting Role 
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Law to join their A Level team on a full-time permanent basis starting in August 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching A Level and/ or BTEC Law.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, focused on student progress and supporting students into high quality educational and work based destinations. 
The successful candidate will be primarily based at our Nelson site but may be required to travel across sites.

This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with their teaching qualification.

What You Will Be Doing:
•    Teach A Level Law delivering effective learning for students
•    Be up to date, plan and prepare and high quality teaching as required by your Line Manager to the appropriate number of hours (810 hrs per annum)
•    Develop and share resources for the course/subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources
•    To act as a personal tutor for a group across their programme as a whole
•    Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities
•    Maintain comprehensive, up to date, student/course/subject records and provide information, as requested

 

What We Are Looking For:
•    A degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
•    A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
•    A higher degree or advanced qualification (desirable)
•   Successful teaching experience in a relevant subject area
•    Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver the curriculum successfully
•    Demonstrate a student centred approach to teaching and learning
