Job Description

Cambridge Regional College are currently looking for a dynamic Spanish teacher to join our International team based at our Cambridge campus.

Cambridge Regional College is a large and inspirational centre of learning with campuses in Cambridge and Huntingdon. We strive to achieve very high standards of teaching with regular staff development. The International department is a close-knit, supportive and friendly team.

About the role:

You will be responsible for delivery of Spanish within the International department in Cambridge. This will be to a group of Norwegian students who are studying at CRC for 6 months from September 2024 to March 2025. This will require 6 hours of face-to-face delivery in Cambridge each week over two afternoons.

You will need to prepare all lessons and regularly liaise with partner teachers in Norway. You will keep the college's Moodle pages (VLE) / MS Teams up to date to support learning. As part of the role, you will also be required to prepare and carry out assessments, ensuring quality assurance processes within the College are followed.

What we are looking for in our role:

A fluent and confident Spanish speaker with mastery of Spanish across all 4 skills to CEFR C1 level. An inspirational teacher who makes full use of active learning strategies with the ability to support the development of transferable study skills in preparation for either HE or employment. You will need to discuss student issues with other team members and work collaboratively to ensure excellent retention and success. You will have a willingness to share good practice and collaborate with other teams in the College.
