We have a brilliant opportunity for a Library Supervisor to join us!

 

This is a 33 hour per week, permanent role with a salary of £27,372- £31,169 per annum (pro rata)

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Library Supervisor to join our Library and Resident Contact (Face to Face) team.

 

The Role:

As part of the wider Library and Resident Services Team you will have a key role in managing the day to day delivery of services at individual RBWM Libraries.  

 

Your role will involve:

  • Supervising staff and library buildings including Health and Safety requirements
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Dealing with escalated enquiries
  • Developing community information services and partnerships
  • Facilitating the use of library spaces by other organisations to deliver support services whilst generating income

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • A customer-focused approach
  • An ability to form strong partnerships with community groups, charities and other organisations that meet the priorities of the organisation while generating additional income
  • Love of books and reading and people with an understanding of the value of the public library service to communities and individuals
  • Excellent digital skills and the ability to show people how to use a variety of digital devices
  • You will need to be able to work at any location in the Borough and to do physical work such as carrying boxes of books, pushing loaded book trolleys and being on your feet walking between floors and across the library for extended periods of time. This post is primarily based at Windsor Library but supervisors may be responsible for any RBWM library location.
