Job Description

Job title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Scotstoun/Govan

Salary: £36,217 (plus 33% shift allowance if applicable)

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out the electrical maintenance and repair of various hi-tech/critical machines onsite
  • Using, installing, and maintaining both workshop machinery and the general plant
  • Installing and maintaining electrical systems within the sites building and yard
  • Complying with SHE guidelines and ensuring to carry out all tasks safely
  • Completing all tasks to the required standard and quality, whilst meeting completion dates
  • Assisting supervisors with shop floor related issues as and when required

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Time served 3-4-year electrical apprenticeship (with ability to provide papers)
  • Experience of electrical maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in reading and understanding electrical drawings
  • Ability to work at height

Desirable:

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Safety certification i.e. SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height
