Job Description

Hemiko are recruiting for a Network and Systems Administrator reporting to the IT Manager.

The successful candidate will have lead responsibility to provide IT driven support to grow the Hemiko business, working closely with and supported by the wider Hemiko team

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and able manage the IT support element of projects with experience of managing and delivering IT projects outsourced IT support functions and IT Asset management. The successful candidate will a good understanding and familiarity with the Windows OS, SharePoint online and Office 365.

We fund, design, build, operates and maintain low carbon district energy networks and building energy systems. This work is for communities, towns, and cities.   •       The design, installation, operating, and funding of a district heating system to serve 3,500 homes in Clapham as part of a major regeneration project.
  •       The design, installation, and operation of a new city centre wide low carbon district heating system for the City of Cardiff.
  •       The design, installation, and operation of a ground source heat pump system to provide heating and cooling to a new development of 300 homes a gym and office building in South London.
  •       The design and installation of a heat network in a rural community in Cambridgeshire to replace oil boilers in 300 homes with centralised low carbon heat generation.
  •       Developing detailed long-term decarbonisation plans for existing large scale district heating networks to allow them to transition from gas fired CHP led generation to low carbon generation.

The Role

Hemiko are seeking a Network Systems Administrator to work under our IT Manager. The  successful candidate will have lead responsibility to provide IT driven support to grow the Hemiko business, working closely with and supported by the wider Hemiko team. Our Projects range from single site boiler room and energy centre installations or servicing through to large new build and retrofit district heating schemes.

The compact nature of the business and our rapid growth means that the candidate has significant opportunity to develop their career in a friendly environment. We are looking to develop teams that will be able to grow into designing a variety of energy related systems. It is anticipated, therefore, that the candidate would be seeking to broaden their skills horizon.

Candidate

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and able manage the IT support element of projects. The company is relatively small but with very fast growth. The candidate will be able to work as part of a team and take ownership and fulfil their tasks on time.

The candidate will need to be comfortable communicating with team members, clients and clients’ engineers and with contractors and specialist suppliers. They will be personable and a good communicator.

We will want you to join our journey toward a more environmentally, technically responsible and effective way of delivering energy systems; moving away from conventional processes into a more innovative and free-thinking environment.

Specific Tasks

Participating on the delivery of new and existing energy projects during the build and operational phases working with and supported by the wider Hemiko Team. In more detail this will include:

  •       Management and delivery of the outsourced IT Support function
  •       IT asset management and upkeep
  •       Procurement of equipment and software to support business delivery
  •       Assisting in the monitoring of remote data connections / gateways to ensure we minimise downtime
  •       Administration for any new sites within our bespoke metering and billing platform
  •       Management of data to ensure our operational sites are kept up to date with any changes
  •       Management of cloud apps to maintain Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure active directory maintenance and upkeep

Remuneration and Info 

  •       Remuneration: Base £25,000 
  •       Discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance. 
  •       Location, role is London based, but hybrid working is possible.
  •       The role is full time but we would consider a shorter working week and can be flexible if required.
