What is the job role?

Come and join us at an exciting time and be part of the Professional Support Service's journey.  We are a team that works with colleagues at all levels across Children's Services to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families across the City.

This role is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an Operational Support Manager covering the eight Family Hubs based Citywide. It is a fast-paced, energetic and exciting area to work in; you will be part of a close-knit team ensuring the very start of the child's journey within Early Help is the best it can be. You will provide management oversight to the team and promote a positive working culture where Children and families are at the heart of everything we do.

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of Professional Support Staff; including daily allocation of work, having oversight and line management of the Operational Support Assistants in the family hubs city-wide, covering reception points at hubs and phone calls when required, performance management and development of staff within a busy team. 

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
