Job Description

Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster

Project Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver "better trained sailors to the front line faster".

This role is an essential member of the Royal Navy's Learning and Development Organisation (LDO). You will be involved in the provision and coordination of Learning and Development services including administration and organisation of resettlement support activities to UK Service Personnel during their transition into civilian life.

This is a part time role working 30 hours per week. The hours of work can be completed across 4 or 5 days per week.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing Learning and Development advice, guidance, information and support to Service Personnel
  • Coordinating and booking all appointments, enrolments, course bookings and classroom bookings for the Hub
  • Promoting and facilitating opportunities for accessing and funding externally delivered learning opportunities
  • Working with the team to conduct Learning and Development interviews
  • Delivering induction briefings to Service Personnel when they commence learning
  • Proactively raising awareness of Resettlement amongst Service Leavers, to ensure they are aware of the support they have access to

What we're looking for:

  • Previous administration experience
  • Must have a drivers licence and vehicle, to be flexible to cover local offices, as and when required
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as using own initiative
  • Any experience within a learning or education environment, would be an advantage
  • Military knowledge, would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
