The job itself

A young lady living in Hornsea is looking to employ a Personal Assistant's to join an established team who provide her with 24 hr care

A degree of flexibility is required as there may be some extra hours available on a rota basis for the successful candidate. Holiday and sickness cover

The young lady is a full time wheelchair user and has complex health issues which affect her whole body functions including multiple physical health needs breathing, nutritional, mobility needs, sleep apnoea, nutrition and pressure area care.

She requires full support with all aspects of daily living and personal care, assistance with medication; she has her chosen diet via PEG feed and uses oxygen. The young lady also requires emotional and psychological support.

The ideal candidate/s will have experience of caring for someone with complex needs; you must be able to work to a high standard as part of a team of carers. You should be motivated, proactive, responsible, flexible, non-judgemental and open minded. You will ideally be trained in the use of a hoist, PEG feeding, lifting and handling, first aid, and maintenance of skin integrity. Ideal candidate must like dogs.

A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency
