The role
As a Planning Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As our experienced Planning Engineer, you will be the driving force behind ensuring a seamless project and programme delivery.

Day-to-day, you'll be the driving force behind orchestrating schedules independently, focusing on complex scenarios across P3M. Your role involves crafting and maintaining integrated schedules for projects and programmes, whilst considering dependencies and resource requirements.

  • Develop/implement and maintain the Project structures (WBS/OBS/RBS/CBS)
  • Develop/baseline and maintain the Project integrated schedule. (Level 1-3)
  • Ensure alignment between the integrated scheduling toolset and the companies financial and material demand toolset. This includes alignment of any Level 4/5 schedules.
  • Regular status update of the integrated schedule and the provision of metrics (e.g. critical path/total float) and schedule analysis of the impact to the project.
  • Resource/cost loaded schedules to inform the IBP and also to provide financial status of the project

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Planning Engineer

  • Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
  • Extensive experience applying schedule management in a complex environment
  • Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3/JCT etc )
  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling toolsets e.g. Primavera/MSP etc
  • Quantitative risk analysis experience

Qualifications for the Planning Engineer

  • Ideally a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering / project / construction management or a related field

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
